Process of the eye surgery
The laser eye surgery procedure lasts for almost 15 minutes. During the procedure, you will be laying on your back on a special operating table that is equipped with the laser system.
Before the surgery begins, analgesic eye drops will be instilled into both eyes, the surrounding of the eyes are cleaned, the eyelids are fixed with eyelid clamps, and a suction ring is placed on your eye. After the creation of the flap, the surgeon will flip the flap and fold it back, and will position the excimer laser over the eye. You will be asked to stare at the light. This light is to help you keep your eye fixed on one spot once the laser comes on.
